All-On-4™ Dental Implants
The Periodontics and Implant Center of Mckinney specializes in dental implants and we offer the All on 4™ procedure.
The All On Four procedure is a technique where four to six or more implants are placed into the jaw and in most cases (95%) fixed teeth can be attached at the time of procedure. It is a one day procedure, patients leave our office on procedure’s day with teeth attached to the implants.
All on 4™ is a trademarked name from Nobel Biocare. Dr. Chang is one of the first dental specialist to be trained to perform this specialized procedure when it was first introduced in 2001. He was invited to demonstrate this procedure live at Academy of Osseointegration dental conference held at San Antonio in 2007. Dr. Chang is the first dental specialist in the United States to restore an edentulous patient with Procera® Zirconia Implant Bridge.
The All-On-Four method in which the implants are placed eliminates the standard healing time and bone grafting that applies to other types of dental implant solutions before immediate teeth are attached. The All-on-4 surgery also known as "Teeth in a day", when performed in an office with substantial staffing and resources such as Drs, Chang and Tatum, can be conducted in one day, making the travel for out-of-town dental implant patients a more reasonable option.
After the surgery, patients leave with immediate fixed teeth fabricated in our in-house lab which restore their smile. Three month after implants has been healed a new customized permanent fixed prosthesis is then fabricated.

Many dental implant patients have to travel from office to office for various appointments, turning what could be a simple process into a long ordeal. This can be especially inconvenient for those who travel to Dallas for their dental implant needs but live in another town. The Periodontics and Implant Center of Mckinney is the premier choice for those wanting an experienced dental implant care team.
We offer a one-day surgery solution for dental implant patients who are in need of immediate teeth which are not removable. Teeth which are attached as you see to the right are a fixed hybrid denture.
There are several parts to the All-on-4 dental implant process. For eligible candidates, the surgery can be done in one day. It will take two appointments to get you Immediate teeth: First appointment is the consultation, the next is the surgery where the implants and immediate teeth are placed. Once the immediate healing teeth are placed then you will heal 3-4 months before final teeth are made.

At Periodontics and Implant Center of Mckinney, Drs., Chang and Tatum are able to conduct each of these parts of the process onsite and consequently minimize the number of trips an out-of-town patient must take. With onsite education consultants, prosthodontist, periodontist, and anesthesiologist and in-house dental lab the we are able to address all of your needs from start to finish.
The initial consultation will determine whether or not you are a candidate for the All-on-4 dental implants procedure. The procedure will not be available for those patients that will require bone grafting or another surgical procedure before implants can be placed.

Here is a patient who developed implant complications as result of an insufficiently trained dentist. From day one her bite was set in correctly and resulted chipping of teeth. After multiple visits to fix her broken teeth, patient resorted to super glueing teeth herself.
Soon after surgery, she also started to develop other complications including lost of pain, swelling, and dental infection.
After suffering for more than a year without being able to smile and eat properly, she was able to find Dr. Paul Chang. Fortunately, Dr. Chang was able to fix her smile. However, she had to undergo several more round of surgeries to remove infected implants, rebuild her bone and place new implants.
